Chantel Blanco, a Las Cruces, NM native, is currently a Dona Ana Community College student earning a secondary degree in Digital Graphics Technology. Chantel works part-time with Arrowhead Center as a student graphic designer. She continues her education and experience by helping design logos, websites, and custom social media ads for local businesses. Although she initially studied hotel and restaurant tourism as her primary university degree, her passions are creativity and custom art. Eventually, she hopes to create a learning space for future crafters and designers.
Jenna Dunlap is the Social Media Manager and Graphic Design Artist for Arrowhead Innovation Fund and NM CERG. She is responsible for overseeing the LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, as well as creating daily informational posts for the organizations. Jenna is also a student at New Mexico State University, studying Graphic Design and Photography in the Art Department. She has previously been involved in NMSU through a Graphic Design Internship for Krux Radio Station and working for the Intramural Sports Program as the Photographer and Social Media Manager. Jenna is currently a Senior and is completing her final year working toward her Studio Art Degree. Outside of work and school, Jenna enjoys playing local music gigs, taking care of her fish and plants, and creating art.
Diego joined the Arrowhead Center team to help develop the Innovation Ecosystem Connect (IEC) platform. He applies his expertise with user experience research principles to ensure the platform is user-friendly and aptly oriented toward user needs. As an NMSU graduate student, Diego is working on attaining an M.A. degree in experimental psychology with a focus in engineering psychology. He enrolled at NMSU after earning his B.S. degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy from Western New Mexico University.
AbdulAfeez Oladeinde, a Graduate assistant at NMSU’s Arrowhead center. AbdulAfeez had a career in Content writing, Translation and Language teaching. He earned his bachelors degree in Chinese studies from the University of Lagos, Nigeria with two years Language Immersion at Suzhou University, China. He his currently pursuing his master’s degree in Rhetoric and Professional Communication at New Mexico State University.
Blanca serves as the NM CERG Graduate Assistant, where she oversees the graphic design and marketing for NM CERG. Blanca has graduated from NMSU with her Bachelor’s in graphic design and is currently obtaining her MFA through NMSU. Blanca has gained her experience in graphic design and marketing through Arrowhead Centers programs such as Innoventure, Studio G, as well as conferences such as WE Mean Business.
Richard Wilson Jr
Richard Isaiah Wilson Jr. was born into a military family on August 22, 1970. At the age of 18, he joined the military to follow in his father’s footsteps and see the world. After serving his country for 23 years, he retired and made El Paso his permanent home. With a desire to learn something new, he started attending EPCC, and in 2018, he earned his first associate degree in Arts and a second in Advertising, Graphics, and Design. To achieve his dream of a bachelor’s degree, he began attending NMSU in 2019 and will earn his bachelor’s in Studio Arts in 2022. His next goal is to use his knowledge to begin his second career in Graphic Design.
Anna is a student designer at Arrowhead Center and also assists with the Sprints programs. She has had a hand in various projects, including logo design, web posting, print layout, and social media graphics. She holds a degree in marketing with a minor in economics from New Mexico State University and is currently pursuing a degree in digital graphics technology from Dona Ana Community College.
Madelyn serves as a Graduate Assistant for Arrowhead’s NM CERG and Social Media Assistance Program. After graduating from NMSU in 2020 with her BS in Agricultural Biology, she decided to stay at NMSU and pursue her MBA. Outside of work, Madelyn enjoys playing soccer, watching movies, and traveling.
Dylan Court is a student intern at Arrowhead Center. He has worked on logo design and print layout as a student as well as independently for local businesses. He is currently pursuing a Associates Degree in digital graphics technology from Dona Ana Community College and is especially interested in creating clean, minimalistic art. In his free time, Dylan enjoys reading, drawing, and embarking on road trips.
A native of the Mesilla Valley and a student at Doña Ana Community College, Chris handles social media ads and reels, logos, t-shirts designs, and all manner of graphics at Arrowhead Center. He has a passion for learning anything from politics and ecology to history and computer technologies. This led him to try a vector graphic program, Affinity Designer, and a with the help of some YouTube videos, he discovered an interest in graphic design. After taking a class on the subject at DACC, due to his inclination to learn more and his eye for detail, he was recruited by the instructor, Peter Knapp, who serves as the Creative Director at Arrowhead Center. He is currently pursuing a degree in Digital Graphics Technology.
Matthew Deeds is in his senior year as a graphic design major at NMSU and has been studying design for the better part of six years. On the side, he’s been playing the guitar for over seven years, is interested in anime, comics, video games, and aspires to one day be the creative director of his own animated series. Matthew currently helps with the las cruces social media project at Arrowhead Center which assists local business with their social media sites.
Jose Figueroa joined Studio G as a Graduate Assistant in May 2021. Jose will graduate with a Master of Business Administration from New Mexico State University in 2022. At Studio G, Jose conducts intake interviews with clients, connecting them to Arrowhead Enterprise Advisors based on their business ideas, plans, and needs. In addition, Jose serves as an Innoventure Jr. Facilitator, providing bilingual (i.e., English and Spanish) entrepreneurship education to elementary school students in the underserved New Mexico-Mexico border region.
