BIZSPRINT | TAOS

Arrowhead Center, in partnership with UNM-TAOS HIVE and the Small Business Administration, will be offering BizSprint Taos to the Taos County business community! Featuring revamped curriculum designed to assist participants with developing and/or strengthening their Business Model Canvas, our 6-week business accelerator aims to provide support, resources, and networking opportunities from the comfort of your home or office via Zoom. Best of all, it’s FREE!

This program is perfect for existing businesses, or anyone who wants to start a business in Taos County.

CPA Advising: Bobbi Kay

As a CPA and IRS registered tax preparer, Bobbi can advise you on business taxes, entity selection, and business registration as well as general business and accounting practices.

Heather Hunter: Holistic Marketing, Business Planning & Hospitality

Heather is an accomplished marketing and communications consultant versed in multi-generational entrepreneurship. Through her firm she develops comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies as well as oversees project management and event productions. Her clients range from Mexico’s beloved Senor Frog’s brand to the Santa Fe Business Incubator. She also has extensive background in hospitality and food product development and a passion for business plan development.

Food Industry Innovation & Development: Todd Abraham

Todd is a retired executive with Mondelez International/Kraft Foods/Nabisco Inc. and has extensive experience in identifying, developing and commercializing innovative breakthrough technology for consumer goods sector. Todd brings a skills set of strong strategic planning and business background coupled with skills in product development, nutritional science, R&D strategy, Open Innovation, and organizational development. He is also a nationally certified collegiate soccer referee and referee instructor.

Jerry Dakan: Restaurant Startups & Food Industry

Jerry is a chef and faculty member at Santa Fe Community College Culinary Program. His career includes a variety of positions in food establishments, including Executive Banquet Chef at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix overseeing catering, there on site restaurants and snack facilities across the resort property. He has consulted and assisted the startup of several fine dining restaurants as well as serving as private chef for the Kendall Ridge Outfitting Company.
